Internet Marketing for Tightwads

How do you like this title? It fits me perfectly. I am one of those people who will figure out a way to do just about ANYTHING for little or nothing. My husband has been calling me a tightwad for years, so I thought this would be a very fitting title for my new website.

Sorry I haven't written much in the last week, but we have had quite a bit of devastation with the tornadoes that rifled through Arkansas. Four people lost their lives in this tiny little town that I live in, and it's very sad. Life must go on, though, so back to work it is!

My New Project

My project is coming along very nicely! When I am done, all of you who want to learn everything there is to know about making money online will LOVE it! I went through much exasperation and frustration as I was trying to learn how to make money on the internet, without spending any money. I did it though, and in just a couple of weeks I believe I will be ready to let everyone know exactly the steps you can take to make as much money as you desire on a ZERO budget.

I currently have an online business, and (not to brag or anything)within three months of building my website I have it placed on the first 2 - 3 pages of some of the major search engines for several of my keywords. I did this BY MYSELF, and I will show you exactly how it is done when my project is finished. Believe me, if a redneck girl from the boonies like me can make money on the internet having used absolutely no money, you can too!

I am extremely excited about this, and I think you will be too! Stay tuned, more to come from out here in boonieland - and you won't want to miss it!

Article Marketing - Key Tips for Success!

Article marketing is one of the most important methods you can use to get your business seen by both potential customers and search engines. Writing and distributing good articles is essential for the success of your business.

Here are a few tips on article marketing.

1. Choose a HOT Topic

If you are marketing to your target audience, you probably already have a good feel for your topic. Use of a keyword tool such as keyword discovery can help you see how many people are searching your topic, and exactly what keywords they are using to search it. You will want to use these words and phrases throughout your article.

2. Use a "Sticky" Title

Your title must pull your reader in, make them want to read more! Make it magnetic and different, never boring if you want to keep your readers attention.

3. Start it off with a "BANG"

In the first paragraph of your article, it is imperative that you make your reader want to keep reading. Make it exciting, add drama, whatever it takes to keep them going to the next paragraph. Try using short paragraphs, sentences and words so that it doesn't seem to drag on to your reader.

4. Sell your Reader!

At the end of your article, you want to provide great content in your author's box. Include the benefits, discount pricing, unique items, whatever it is about your product or service that will make them want to visit your site. Of course, link to your site here also.

5. Proofread your work

You absolutely must proofread your work! Check for spelling and grammar errors, punctuation, etc. If you have incorrectly spelled words, gramatical errors and such, you will give your reader the impression that you are not an expert in your field. And you MUST be an expert in order for them to trust your advice and eventually buy from you!

6. Promote and then promote some more

When your article is just the way you want it, submit it to as many article directories and sites as you want. The more you submit, the more backlinks will point to your site, and search engines love this! You will have many more readers as well. When you submit good articles, owners of other sites will publish your article on their own website, giving you even more links and readers!

Article marketing is one aspect of online marketing you definitely don't want to miss out on. Get your computer fired up, the wheels turning in your head, and write some good relevant articles! Your business will thank you.

Getting Rid of Debt - Weigh your Options

Many people have debt that they would like to be rid of, but most don't make a step toward doing anything about it until they begin getting threatened by credit card companies, phone calls, collection services, etc. Sometimes they still don't really pay attention or do anything about the problem.

If you would like to take steps toward getting rid of your debt, here are a few simple things you can do to start now:

1. The first step is acknowledging the problem. Make a promise to yourself to do something about it, no matter what size the debt is. This is the first move you need to make.

2. Sit down and calculate how much income you really have each month. This is pretty easy to do if your income is a set amount each week or month, but if you are self employed or have money coming in from different sources, you need to know exactly how much that is.

3. Make a list of your weekly or monthly expenses. List each and every expense - regular payments such as car and mortgage, and varying expenses like utilities, groceries, gas and food. Use realistic figures so that you come up with a number that is very close to what you would normally spend each month.

4. Now make a list of the expenses you incur each week or month that are not necessary. These may include dining out, entertainment, or shopping. Also include such small things like that donut you buy each morning on the way to work, a soft drink you get out of the machine at the office - include every single expense you can think of, no matter how small.

5. After you combine your regular and non-essential spending, is there normally any money left over? Sometimes when there is still money in your account, you will think of something you need (though you probably really don't). If it isn't an absolute must, leave that money in the bank.

6. A great way to pay down your debt is to use the money left in your account to pay down the debt with the highest interest rate. This is one option, but whatever you choose, pay on SOMETHING - this is the only way you will ever get rid of your debt. You must have a strong commitment to paying off your debt.

7. Filing bankruptcy is necessary at times, but unless you are forced to use this option it is best not to. Bankruptcy does have longterm drawbacks - it stays on your credit report for years, preventing you from making any type of major purchases easily.

8. Debt consolidation can be something to consider, but don't automatically choose this route. Sometimes you are just replacing many monthly bills with one consolidated bill with slightly lower interest. This is not really saving you much money, and you have to think about what the impact on your credit rating will be if you choose this method.

9. Carefully choose and consider the options when deciding to eliminate your debt. Remember that it will take some time, but make your best effort each month, pay extra when you can on high interest bills and cut down on any unneccessary spending. In a short time, your debts will be much lower, and your stress level will improve greatly!

Affiliate marketing is another option previously discussed. I believe this is the perfect place to start if you are new to internet marketing. You generally don't have to have a website, and you can sell all types of products from home decor and vitamins to energy drinks, information products, electronics and more without spending money upfront to do it!

Dropshipping is another way people make good money online. There are many wholesale companies that allow you to sell their products on Ebay and other online auctions at a price of your choice, then pay the wholesaler after you sell the item. They then ship the order to your customer for you. What could be easier?
